Some of you know already, and some do not know our big news! A little over a month ago or so now, we have made the decision that we will be switching to the special needs program. This is where we will fill out what is called a MCC (Medical Conditions Checklist) with what special need we are both comfortable with, with our agency, and when they have found a child that matches what we put down on our checklist, they will match us that way. We will be called and informed of her, and will take her file to our Dr. here in Ga. for review, before we "accept the refferal" After we accept her refferal, we will have to do, you guessed it MORE paperwork, so that we can legally travel to bring her home. This currently takes 4-6 months AFTER initial refferal.
We will be turning in our MCC on Patrick's Birthday 9-21 of this year...just over 3 months from now. Our agency said that we could realistically be matched within 6-8 months of that time, and then that would put us travelling at about summer/fall of next year, 2012. We are SO excited, and can't wait to get "the call" We are still currently waiting on DTC which is Dossier To China...we expect to get word of that by Wednesday-Friday of this week *fingers crossed*. Then we wait on LID Logged In Date...when we are officially logged in with China. That could take 2-4 weeks...sooooo we are guessing the week of July 18th, but ofcourse we hope for a shorter time frame.
I keep having this re occuring dream, that we are paged on our October Cruise of a match....that is VERY wishful thinking, but hey it could happen, right?
