It is official, we have our name on the waiting child programs list! They have about 200 families in front of us. The match process can change, but right now they say 6-12 M is average...of course since they match each INDIVIDUAL family according to what each has put on their MCC, the wait time varies, and can not be pinpointed....our GUESS, is since they have 200 families right now, and match 30-40 each month, that is about a 5-6 month wait.....but again, you just NEVER know...it could be tomorrow, it could be a year (gosh I hope not a year!) But, the good news is, it is turned in, and it will for sure NOT be 5 years, like the traditional program is taking currently.
We know our daughter(s) are out there, waiting for us, just like we are waiting for her, and when the time is right, we will all be together.
